About the Author:
"Why would you change careers from law to writing?" is a question I'm often asked. The truth is that I'm a writer who enriched my sense of the world by becoming a lawyer and then, finally, the success of my books allowed me the joy of writing full time.
Deep within my DNA has always been the urge to create and tell a story . . . and then another . . . and then another. I started in Fourth Grade and never stopped. At college I majored in English and continued even while working as a lawyer. Having my first novel published in the U.S. and internationally was a spur and a confirmation that my story-telling could find an audience.
My other novels will follow in new editions; I'm working on a new one. They will all, I hope, give new readers the pleasure that has always been my reason for writing.
My novels have been translated into over a dozen languages. My comedy screenplay Games has recently been honored at film festivals, as has my comedy-mystery web series Ain't That Life. I'm a graduate of Amherst College and Yale Law School, and I live in New York City.
