Steve Marinucci's website, Abbeyrd's Beatles Page - http://abbeyrd.best.vwh.net - is widely regarded as the most accurate Beatle news source on the internet. A former journalist for over 30 years at the San Jose Mercury News, he has interviewed celebrities including Yoko Ono, Bruce Johnston and...
That is a GREAT clip. Love seeing those things. I remember listening to a John Lennon interview (1972) on old WPLJ-FM in New York, done by Howard Smith, during a Beatles Weekend. During the interview-- which got pretty heavy with political stuff, McCartney stuff, etc-- you'd hear Beatles songs and solo songs in the background, and every so often John would stop right smack in the middle of answering a question, or interrupt Yoko, or Howard, and start singing along to a song (in fact, one of the ones he sang along to was Paul's "Maybe I'm Amazed"), and more often than not, start commenting on the songs, giving you insight you didn't hear before (during "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" he was relating about how they were all cracking up doing the "bang bang, shoot shoot" backing vocals, and had to keep re-doing them).
Love this kind of stuff...shows you that, despite some of the harsh posturing both Lennon and Harrison had immediately post-Beatles breakup, there was that softer side underneath, and you knew they really loved and were proud to be Beatles.
WOW! During the viewing,it looked liked George was having warm thoughts of the 1963/64 era.It really looked like he was going to get get sentimental on it,but that's good! No shame there.
Wonder if this is a leaked clip from the new Martin Scorsese movie on GH..Wasn't the Last Waltz also filmed in 76 and GH was good friends of the "Band".. Outtake from that film session?

That was excellent; a "gem" was a good word for it. Nice close to my weekend, thank you
That was lovely, thanks.
Excellent! It was a great song...and it was nice to see how George enjoyed watching it. If only....
Really cute! Noticed Olivia over his shoulder too.
Thanks for sharing Peggy and Kris and Steve!
Bellissimo, Un'altra perla rara aggiunta al collier!
Beatles unici, fino alla fine del mondo.

Beautiful, it was great to see George relaxing and genuinely enjoying the moment. Too bad it was such a short clip.
Olivia is so beautiful and I imagine, was a good sport on many occasions. I love to see George smile, nothing like it...and thank you! Made my day.
