December 24, 2013 - Christmas is a time of hope, joy and wonder. It is the ultimate birthday celebration of the Son promised by GOD in Genesis 3:15, through a miraculous means revealed in Isaiah 7:14. The Messiah would be born of a virgin and crush the head of Satan.
Grace, which is GOD’s unmerited favor and acceptance, was made available by what Christ would do on Calvary and HIS conquering death as evidenced by HIS Resurrection - but HIS arrival in Bethlehem for those who accept and believe is a faithful celebration of GOD's faithfulness.Salvation is why Christmas is merry.
Faith and fatherhood go together. Some the most poignant quality family time comes during the Christmas holiday season. Some of our greatest memories occur, when a dad or child, capture, retain and share the joy of the season. There are dads globally, though, who for various reasons find it difficult to experience and share the joy of Christmas. This prayer is for them...
In the matchless name of YESHUA HAMASCHIACH - JESUS the CHRIST, we thank YOU during this season of celebration at the glorious arrival – the virgin birth of YOUR only Begotten SON, aware of YOUR goodness, humbled and in awe of the joy and greatness of YOUR Grace. Thank YOU for Christmas, LORD. Thank YOU for salvation and sustaining families, marriages, offspring and siblings so that we may celebrate festively in Spirit and truth, sharing gifts and realizing YOU are the greatest gift of all; but LORD, our hearts and concern is for those dads, who have a broken or strained relationship with their family and children by distance, divorce, neglect or incarceration. Work or military service may have a father far away and missing his children. Please LORD, let this be a season where they can be with their families. There are dads that have either committed or been victims of infidelity…who miss their children but are not at home because of a tear in relationship with their wives. FATHER, help these dads humble themselves and reconcile with their family. Some dads had children out of context and have dishonored their relationship by intentional absence. Help them love their children and convict them to redeem, restore and repair their relationships. There are some dads who have committed crimes which have caused a family breach. Help them ABBA to reach out via phone, letter and family visits. Finally, for those who have lost dads or children. Please comfort them and restore the joy of the season. Give all dads in these various situations the heart to speak life into difficult situations for the benefit of their children. Let them know that forgiveness is the ultimate gift and YOU sent YOUR SON to ensure and insure it. Crush the head of Satan in their lives LORD. Bless them with the HOLY SPIRIT, YOUR Word and opportunities to be blessings in their children's lives. Give them hope and the beginning of a long line of very merry Christmases - in JESUS name - Amen and amen.
