Designer Marco Zanini for the fashion house of Schiaparelli presented his lovely Spring/Summer 2014 collection in the spirit of Performance Art during Paris Couture week on January 20, 2014 in Paris, France.
Models sporting teal coifs donned theatrical yet interesting hats to accessorize Schiaparelli’s rather pretty and feminine gowns in a variety of hues and styles to satisfy a variety of tastes and moods.
This is a very playful collection from Zanini not altogether lacking in creativity that incorporates many different themes from pretty florals in chiffon, ruffles, layered tulle, heavy embroidery, metallics and even fluttery shorts in a color palette that mostly embraces pastels and multicolor prints.
Enjoying the Schiaparelli fashion show were Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Hamish Bowles, Anna Dello Russo and Franca Sozzani, Diego Della Valle, who is the CEO of fashion line Tod’s, designer Jean Paul Gaultier, former French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, actress Elle Macpherson and Parisienne fashionistas Ines de La Fressange, Carine Roitfeld.
