The recent Twilight convention proved once again that fans possess an inventive sense of business savvy. All conventions will always have an area for selling items that pertain to and are inspired by the raison d'etre of the gathering. The area of commerce is called the "dealer's room" and are always quite popular with fans. A very unique and striking addition to any dealer's room were the owners of Kimmy Makes Scents who were making their debut at the Twilight event over the Valentine's Day weekend. Kimmy Cavallo and Heather Ramirez took time in-between selling their product line to discuss the origins of their company and to share what inspired them to create a line of perfume that will excite fans of Cosplay and Twilight.
The line of Twilight inspired scents have names such as "Beloved"(a fragrance that is infused with lilac and fig) and "Hybrid"( ingredients of honey suckle and pine). Kimmy and Heather were inspired to create their company out of a love of the vampire genre and in particular, Twilight. They had discussed how the author of the books wrote in detail about the different scents that various characters seem to have as the tales progress. It is this olfactory stimulation that Kimmy and Heather have rather successfully captured in their line of bottled perfume. They both stressed that their product line was painstakingly created and mixed by hand and that they accept ideas to personally craft a particular scent any fan wishes to sport for any event.
The business women ambitions are to continue marketing their product and they also hope to expand their Twilight inspired line of fragrances. They are not licensed or affiliated with the author or the filmmakers, but they do have the desire and drive to actually have these individuals take notice of their product. It is a safe bet that their line of colognes and perfumes will be accepted as the official fragrance of Twilight and vampire cosplayers everywhere!
