Westfield UTC’s Palm Plaza, San Diego’s iconic, open-air shopping and entertainment destination will be the home of the Movie Award-Themed PAWscar Party. Besides the gold standard customer service, premier shopping, dining, fitness and entertainment, the public will be able to enjoy this upcoming red carpet event that will have even celebrities panting for an invite.

Helen Woodward Animal Center (HWAC) has partnered with Westfield UTC to bring the public this fabulous evening of canine celebrity-costumes, red carpet glamor, live music, goodie bags, and, of course, delicious food and drink to feast upon. The event is scheduled one week from today on Thursday, February 20, 2014 27th between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

The five-star film-focused fundraiser will celebrate the fact that movie award season is upon us and the orphan pets and programs at HWAC will benefit from the event. A-List movie stars will take a back seat to canines dressed as Julia PAWberts, Sandra BullDOG and PAWbert Redford, to name a few! This special event, set in the dog-friendly, open-air shopping and popular entertainment destination, is all about that furry, movie-worthy hotshot you know and love so grab your favorite pup and get set to celebrate the great films of the big screen with your fuzzy superstar.

Westfied UTC, already tailored to the canine crowd, is the perfect environment for this dog-centric celebration. Enjoy live entertainment and Red Carpet-worthy apps and drinks with your VIP (Very Important Pooch), all adjacent to the Bark Park in Palm Plaza. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Attending guests will also have their photos taken on the red carpet, enjoy style sessions with BlowPop Dry Bar, depart with valuable goodie bags, and have the opportunity to compete for top prizes in a Best-Dressed Celebrity-Costumed Pup Contest.

This PAWscar event is just another fun way to welcome our dog-loving customers.”
