He's baaaaaack! Well he will be as of April the 30th ( it's official release date ) and more than likely after watching The new A Nightmare on Elm Street "you will never sleep again!" This remake of the original Wes Craven's New Nightmare, which was darkly introduced to us in 1984 with the demonic Freddy Krueger ( originally played by Robert Englund), focuses on a Freddy who is twice as intense as the humorous Krueger. Filled with dark humor, hair-raising scenes and an intriguingly creepy, reinvented Krueger, this film explores the new step into the horror genre and brings movie lovers alike out of their sleep and into a bad dream.
Wes Craven is well-known for films like Swamp Thing (1982), and recently Director of the Hills Have Eyes Part 2 (2007) . He reintroduces a sadistic character who was burned alive by a mob of angry parents of the children he killed. Freddy is seeking revenge by killing the teenagers who arrive to an abandoned home on Elm Street. Teenagers Kris ( Katie Cassidy), Jesse ( Thomas Dekker ), Quentin ( Kyle Gallner ), Nancy Thompson ( Rooney Mara ), Dean ( Kellan Lutz) and Allan ( Clancy Brown ) are all in a fight for their lives against Freddy Krueger ( Jackie Earle Haley).
