A nice finish to Valentine's Day: Bubbles from Kramer Vineyards

This week kicks off with all eyes set on the one day when flowery speeches are delivered and promises of a long and harmonious relationship are made.

No, I’m not talking about Obama’s State of the Union address. Although POTUS is slated to give what many are saying is his most important speech on Tuesday, the rest of us are waiting a couple of days - saving our poetic prose and promises of 'beautiful things to come' for Valentine’s Day.

Sparkling wine is always a sure bet to make your Valentine’s Day pronouncement more memorable. I recently sampled a 2010 Brut from Kramer Vineyards that will definitely help any declaration you make finish on a nice note.

Culled from the grapes that make up the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines at Kramer Vineyards, this 2010 Brut is a crisp, light sparkling wine that has hints of citrus and green apple. This sparkling produces plenty of bubbles that dance in your glass and is great on its own or paired with food.

Buy a bottle at your local retailer, or better yet stop by their 18-acre winery that's tucked along the hillside of the Willamette Valley where you'll be greeted by some very friendly, and handsome winery dogs.

Kramer Vineyards is located in Gaston, OR and is open for tastings from 11 a.m. 5 p.m. For additional information on the 2010 Brut, as well as other wines and events visit: www.kramervineyards.com.
