While most of us are trying to wind down from the chaotic holidays, retailers are still going strong. Many stores and websites are trying to lure in shoppers with deep discounts, gifts with purchase and bonuses, in hopes of ending the year strong and starting the new one out with a bang.
This morning alone I've received emails from Gap, Belk, Shoes.com, Tory Burch, Cynthia Rowley, Tulle, Shopbop, Aldo and Overstock.com, all offering special discounts only good through New Year's Eve. Most brick and mortar stores require an actual coupon to get your savings, so search online for one if you don't already have one. Retailmenot.com is a great place to start.
If you're still looking for that perfect New Year's Eve outfit, I've got a few suggestions on places to start. Belk is having a massive year-end sale right now, with sale merchandise up to 75% off. Greenville's own Clothing Warehouse is also having a sale, trying to push cool vintage frocks and sweaters. They also carry quirky jewelry from local artist Joanna Kimmel - a pair of her earrings would make a great statement for your party. Consigment shops like Labels, L's on Augusta and Saige also carry a great assortment of sparkly tops and flirty dresses to get you on the best dressed list. Be mindful that many independent shops keep shorter hours, so call ahead!
I feel confident that if you miss any of today's sales, stores will be rolling out sales for after the new year, so keep your eyes peeled. Most major department stores are always having some kind of sale, and signing up for your favorite stores's email list is a great way to keep up to date and receive coupons. Here's to a fashionable 2012!
