A New Year

A new year, a new you, right? Every new year we start ready for a new something, a new you. But the New Year is just another year full of pain, suffering, war, shootings, murder, and tons of other sins that will hurt us, our family, our cities, our nation, our world, and most of all our most Holy heavenly Father.

Yes sin, our sin hurts God more then it hurts us, have you ever thought upon that. That your deeds, your pains, and hurts are felt, really felt by the most Holy God of the Bible; He is a person. He has feels, reasons, and moral law; a nature of justice, holiness, peace, grace, mercy, and righteousness. He is the prefect one.

We on the other hand are not holy. We are a sinful race, full of rebellion, death, hate, unrighteousness, haters of God, and dead in our sins. We are unable to fix ourselves; we need God to fix us, to grant us new life, to place righteousness upon us, and to grant us heaven.

I don’t know about you but I want peace in my life. Peace with God first and foremost. Peace with my fellow man. Peace in life, peace in death that is what the God of the Bible offers through Jesus Christ. You may not even believe in God, but He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die for your and my sins. All of them, all of our wrongs, all of our evil actions and thought; He took all of that upon Himself and paid for it all upon a cross two thousand years ago.

He loves you. This year, the last one, and the ones to come. He wants you to come and know Him, know His peace. He is an awesome God, a mighty God, that loves us with an everlasting love.

In this new year if you don't know Him, seek Him. If you do know Him don't stop getting to know Him more and more, reach out for Him. There are many ways to grow in your faith this new year. Pray and the Bible should be first and foremost. But there are online sermons, many great churches put their sermons online for free. There are many great pastors and writing out with great books, or so many book that have been around for years. These should never replace the very Word of God, but supply us with wisdom, and understanding of other godly people and leaders. But also be careful, there are false teachers in church book store, and in the christian books at any Barnes and Nobles. Be watchful, and careful to follow the Lord's path.

Through this new year let us as followers of Christ pray for our hurting nation and world. Let us step up, because the battle is on going. Let us point to Him, Jesus Christ, our King, our Savior, and Lord.
