Homecomings are a time to rejoice, that the loved one has been united with God. Most in attendance do not wear the color black to the service instead vibrant colors are the choice of décor.

Chief executive officer John Beckwith Jr. of the Golden Gate funeral home works with the families to created some of the most colorful and elaborate themed services. Nothing seems to be off limits or out of taste from elves and snow to BBQ-themed services with a sauce fountain for loved ones to dip a ceremonious rib in.

It’s all about making the families happy during one of the worst times of their lives according to Entertainment Weekly.
