Whew, what a week! I hope everyone, in the United States, had a great Thanksgiving and an even better Black Friday! There are even more amazing deals out there this Cyber Monday, so make sure you do your research and get a few hot items to resell on eBay! Now to today’s topic, feedback. Feedback to a seller is the key to building your business. The more positive feedback you have, the more credible you are, and that can equal more sales! I have found that there really are two major components to getting a positive feedback. First of all, you need to ship the item quickly. No one wants a seller who waits three days to ship the item, and then chooses the cheapest way to ship. I always ship out the next day, and I either ship Priority Mail or First Class. Your customer will always appreciate this. Secondly, you need to stay in constant communication with the customer. eBay does a good job at doing this for you by sending the buyer an email to let them know you have shipped the item, but you can go further.
I have been using a feedback tool from eBay’s apps called “ki Feedback”, and I am in love with it! It really makes communicating with your customer a breeze, and it’s an automatic way to encourage positive feedback from your buyer. Here’s how it works:
You set up a few automatic Positive Feedback messages that you would want to leave for your customer. e.g. “Great Communication. A pleasure to do business with” or “Good buyer, prompt payment, valued customer, highly recommended.”
You set when you’d like your feedback to be automatically left for you. e.g. “Leave feedback after receiving positive feedback” or “Leave feedback after item is shipped”
Then you configure your email settings, so that ki Feedback can send pre determined emails on your behalf.
Now after a set amount of time after the buyer pays but does not leave a feeback, they will get a message that looks like this:
We would like to make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase with us!
If this is not the case we would like to know about it and the problem you have.
Thank you for your time,
Or if they do leave me a positive feedback, they will receive a new message that thanks them for the feedback, and encourages them to do business again with me. Also, if I leave them a feedback before they leave me one, then they will receive an email that looks like this:
I am happy to notify you that we just left you a positive feedback for your item titled [[TITLE]].
We would like to respectfully ask you to leave us a positive feedback as well when you receive the item.

If you feel that you cannot leave us a 5 star rating or if you cannot leave us a positive feedback then please contact us here via reply to this email or on E-Bay.
