A nearly nude driver faces DWI and other charges after weekend incident

A nearly nude driver got a DWI and faces several other charges after the bizarre incident over the weekend. Catherine Giaquinto of Warwick, N.Y. was arrested after hitting a retaining wall and fleeing the scene. The Hopatcong-Sparta Patch shared the details on Jan. 20.

Giaquinto, 36, was drunk and naked other than wearing an unzipped leather jacket when police caught up to her about 1 a.m. Friday. She is said to have not remembered anything about the accident, and she even denied being naked. Her speech is said to have been “badly slurred and unintelligible.” She had some clothing in her car, but it took her about 10 minutes to get dressed. She was unable to stand on her own and could not process the instructions from the officer for the field sobriety test.

Catherine Giaquinto was arrested and became argumentative at the police station. She has been charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and a host of other offenses. Luckily in this case nobody was injured and there was nobody else in the car. Many are curious to hear more about what the rest of the story is behind the nearly nude driver DWI incident, but so far Giaquinto is staying away from the media.
