A musical journey and a merry heart

Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness. ~Maya Angelou, Gather Together in My Name

What do you back up against when you crawl into the space between the notes of your favorite music? Music is inspirational and helps tell the story of our lives. With ipods and other musical gadgets we can shut out the “noise” and get lost in the song no matter where we are. You can probably tell that I love music that touches the soul (Jim Brickman is my new favorite artist). Maybe your story is best told by country music or rock ‘n roll. Whatever your style, let music accompany you on your travel journeys.

Three travel M’s to remember:
1. Music – Make sure you leave home with your favorite genre of music and plenty of batteries to keep the music flowing.
2. Money – Carry some cash - I’m notorious for not carrying cash, and that’s a bad thing because I end up having to manage my own luggage because I have no tip money for the nice people who want to help. As my mother always says “do as I say, not as I do”.
3. Merry Heart – “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.” – King Solomon. Travel can be stressful at best so remember to give the gift of a smile to everyone around you. It’s free and contagious and that’s a good thing.

As always, thanks for being a faithful reader.
