A man's penis comes to life in the trailer for 'Bad Johnson'

Just yesterday, the trailer for the new sex comedy Bad Johnson hit the web, and it has to be seen to be believed. It’s rather shocking that people still make films like this with the intention of making money. Here’s the pitch: A lothario who cannot control his own destructive behavior sits alone one night and mutters to himself [we’ll paraphrase for the kids in the room] “I wish my penis would leave my alone.” Perhaps a comet shot past his window or something, who knows. Presto Chango! Our lead lunkhead gets his wish granted, and is transformed into a kind of walking, talking mannequin. What’s more, his detached member gets a mind and body all of its own, and begins to become a serious problem.

Our hero is played by Cam Gigandet, a pretty boy who has appeared as….well, a pretty boy in films like Burlesque (2010), Easy A (2010) and Twilight (2008). It will at least be interesting to see if the fangirls enjoy his attempt at comedy. The plot may seem like something from Adam Sandler’s clichéd bad of tricks, but seeing as how Sandler’s fingerprints are nowhere near it, those wanting a new comedy could certainly do worse. Than again, it could be that the only thing entertaining about this film will be its ridiculous poster (see above).

Bad Johnson will hit VOD services on April Fool’s Day with a limited release in theaters to follow on May 2. Do not expect it to find a spot in any of D.C.’s theaters, as most films that have a theatrical run after the VOD is released are never granted a screening in the district. This hard and fast rule is probably (at least in this case) for the betterment of Washington’s movie-lovers at large. The film stars Gigandet, Nick Thune, Katherine Cunningham, Jamie Chung and Kevin Miller. For more information on the film, check out its production company's page for the feature
