I John 4:15-17 (NLT)
All who confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the Day of Judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

A love explosion is that thought in the middle of the day of someone we love. It is that moment that we feel all warm inside just because we know that they love us. I have them intermittently for my husband, children and even some of my close friends. In that moment, I pick up the phone to call them or text them to tell them how very much I love them. The crazy thing about “love explosions” is the timing because they are usually unsolicited and unwarranted. It is that drive as a parent to go look in on our sleeping children while withholding every urge to scoop them up and just love on them. When I look at my husband in the bathroom mirror rumpled just out of bed, or across the gym covered in sweat, or just coming in from work all uptight and love rises up in me just because I know that they love me. It is an awesome feeling! Although I am thankful for the people in my life who cause such emotional uprisings, there is only One who loves me completely. His Love for has proven so far to be unfailing, unconditional, unfathomable, unrelenting, unstoppable and unending. I have never seen Him, but I know Him. But in order for me to fully accept His Love, I had to be broken. Oh not like you are thinking, repentance is a turning back to God and sorrow for our sin. My heart was broken many times in this world even by those who I have frequent love explosions for today. I could not fully love and appreciate my spouse, family and friends because I was not satisfied. Love satisfies our soul. However, the love of this world is not like God’s Love. It is failing, conditional, shallow, weak, powerless, and ending. It is in that moment that we come to understand that this world has nothing for us including perfect love that we fully embrace by faith the Love of God.

John 3:16-19 (NLT)
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.”

Too many “believers” do not know the Love of God today or how it operates in our life. They still try to access God’s Love by doing all the right things and cleaning up their act. But God does not love us conditionally but completely. When He saw an issue arise between us, God took care of it by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to take care of removing the obstacle keeping us from His Love. This is a second chance to have the new life, future and hope that we are promised as Children of God. But if you really think about it, we have always been Children of God as He is our Creator. We rejected our Father’s Love and chose to pursue other things. But then our Father sent Jesus Christ to make a clear path back into His Love. Now there are no longer a list of mandates to enter in to the Presence of God and experience His Love – Jesus is holding open the door. So what can really separate us from the Love of God? We do. When we do not accept His Love unconditionally as it is offered, we are somehow implying that His Love is inadequate, His Grace insufficient and His Mercy illegitimate. God’s Love for you and I is unconditional. We must fully accept this fact in order to move on to the future hope that it secured.

Ephesians 1:3-5 (NLT)
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

God’s Love is eternal. It has no beginning or end for us. We were loved by God before He created the world which came before anyone in it. Think about that. God’s Love for you does not end. It is infinite. No matter whether or not you accept it, God loves us forever. We are His Children. I have several friends who have adopted children from other countries. They have shared the story of the moment they saw their child’s face and fell in love. Even though for many it would take month and even years to get the adoption finalized costing thousands of dollars, it was worth it when they finally brought that child home. God decided in advance to adopt us. Surprise pregnancies happen every single day. Babies are produced without intention to do so. But love is intentional. It is a commitment. It is a choice. It is a decision. When God decided to love us nothing could stop His Love.

Romans 8:31-37 (NLT)
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Everyone wants love. Until they find it, they will never be satisfied. On our way to the gym last night, my husband parked by a beautiful large truck. Now I have been looking at cars and trucks recently as my Suburban is getting tired after faithfully serving us for many years. When I saw it, I “oohed and ahhed” telling my husband how much I like it. On our way out another equally well-equipped truck drove past us which would do quite nicely as well. Feeling a bit guilty for “wanting” I told my husband that I was thankful for our old truck and that God has been good to us. He agreed, but then said, “It is okay to want if our heart was not filled with greed.” The truth is that I would very much like to have a new car, but it does not impact my emotions because I am satisfied with my life and content with God’s Provision in my life. I think if we knew the Power of God’s Love in our life and just how much He loves us from beginning to end, we would be less likely to chase those other desires that creep up and rob us of our peace and joy in Jesus Christ. Although I want another automobile, it is not worth the price that I would have to pay to get one. I do not want a car payment. So when I begin to think about going to get one, I am stopped because of this thought. The complete revelation of God’s Love keeps us from falling back into sin and darkness when we understand that nothing can separate us from it. Faith becomes the foundation of our life so much so that we must live attached to it. Hope becomes our confidence so we do not always have to feel and touch something to know that it is real. Faith and hope create confidence in the Love of God that keep us from allowing lesser things to separate us from Him. The Will of God for our life is that we will fully experience His Love and the overcoming victory that comes with it.

I John 3:1-3 (NLT)
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.

Our faith is confirmed by the divine revelation of the relentless love of God for His Children. “See how very much the Father loves us” is His Purpose for our life. God is not out to punish u. He did not end Jesus to condemn us. His Spirit came to us in relentless pursuit of our rebellious heart so we could once again experience the Power of His Love. God is love. (I John 4:7-10) His Spirit is desperately trying to change our mind and understanding of real love from the image the world has given us to the true reality of God’s Love for us. His “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. (His) Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” (I Corinthians 13:4-7) God is not asking of us anything that He is not doing himself. When we look at the characteristics of love and come to understand that this is how God loves us. It is a faith-full revelation. God love you! He really does. Such information should create a “love explosion” as we have never experienced before in the revelation that He loves us – He really does. It put value and worth on our life to be loved. I am a better person because my family loves me and I love them. I expect more out of myself in order to make them proud. They complete me on this earth. But I am able to love them more because of the Love that I have found. Now it doesn’t matter if their love consistently reflects 1 Corinthians 13, because on those days when it does not I have a well that won’t run dry. God’s Love fills my life. It overflows from my life. It is more than enough for me so I do not expect things from other people but trust the Lord to satisfy my soul, heal my broken heart, and produce prosperity in my life. God’s Love places the eager expectation of forever in my heart. “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” (I Corinthians 13:13) You cannot have faith and confident hope until you experience God’s Love first. It is the premise of every promise that He has made us.

Ephesians 3:17-19 (NLT)
Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

The true potential of God’s Love is incomprehensible to the human mind. The depths of His Amazing Love are unfathomable. No matter how many years you live on the earth you will never reach the full capacity of His Love. He has placed His Spirit inside of us to consummate His Love for us and guide us to it. The true foundation of our faith is full acceptance that God loves us unconditionally as demonstrated through the death of Jesus Christ for our sins. Hope is born of knowing this truth and beginning to build our life on it. As we grow deeper roots into our faith, confident hope is developed as we experience the potential of God’s Love for us. It begins to have value and worth. We will begin to separate ourselves from things that potentially will separate us from God’s Love. Love is a commitment. It grows in trust which is the basis of hope. We must release the concept of love given by this world to fully embrace His Love that is true, real, and pure. His Love for us is unfailing, unconditional, unfathomable, unrelenting, unstoppable and unending, but don’t take my word for it. Spend some time in His Presence and His Love will overtake you. Separate yourself from anything that compromises your Love Affair with Jesus and His Love will complete you. Learn to trust His Love by allowing your faith to be turned into confident hope as you learn of His Great Love. Once you have experienced the fullness of His Love for you, it is impossible to ever settle for anything less. Even when you cannot see what lies ahead, you know that it is in your best interest because His Love is there waiting for you. It is the Hand that holds you every step of the way. Take a moment or two to have a love explosion for the Lord today. Thank Him! Praise Him! Give Him some love today but watch out. You will never be the same when He pours it out on you! Intimacy with the Lord will produce love explosions in your life when you feel love rise up and overflow for God just because. From the abundance of the heart, our mouth speaks. What is it saying? God wants to fill you with His Love today!

2 Timothy 1:6-7(NLT)
This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
