The Spider Bite legend is one that is quite believable and quite disturbing. It's like the beehive hair urban legend. If you don't like spiders then please read on, this will make your really hate spiders even more of course if you haven't read about this legend yet.

Legend #1
A young woman is on vacation in South America and while sunbathing on the beach, she is bitten by a spider on the cheek. The bite swells into a large boil and she then is rushed to the hospital. The doctor then lanced the boil and little spiders run out of her cheek. After that happens the young woman goes into shock and becomes insane.
Legend #2
A young girl is asleep in her room and a spider rests on her cheek for a moment. The girl awakes the next morning and tells her mother, her mother then tells her not to scratch it. Weeks past and the boil is getting worse, so her mother decides to call the doctor but the doctor won't be in. Well too relieve the pain, the girl takes a bath and soaks it, while she is doing that the boil bursts open and little spiders come out.

The urban legend comes from Europe and was created in the 1970s.
So that's the legend of the Spider Bite, of course I know you probably have a friend of a friend who had this happen to them.
