Where better to participate in a game of fantasy football than at the world-famous Rose Bowl Stadium? On Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, fans can host their fantasy NFL draft in one of the luxury suites in the new pavilion. Packages start at $1,500; register online at rosebowlfantasy.eventbrite.com or call (626) 577-3100.
Meanwhile, enjoy photos of the bands and cheerleaders who accompanied the NCAA teams that played the last big game in the Rose Bowl. The attached slideshow of Stanford University and the University of Wisconsin was shot at the 124th Rose Parade on Jan. 1, 2013.
Anyone familiar with the Stanford marching band will know it’s a bit…uh, unusual, and not much like, say, a Big Ten band. This could be a spot-the-differences exercise, except it would be far too easy. Enjoy the slideshow, a vive la différence!

There are four packages to choose from: “Mr. Irrelevant,” “No. 1 Pick,” “The Commissioner” and “Ultimate Fantasy.” All packages include a private suite in the pavilion, 40” HDTV with hook-up capabilities, food and non-alcoholic beverages, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium with a look at the locker rooms, postgame media rooms, playing field and more.
