Born in Detroit in 1993, Romanian decent boxer, Joseph Bonas may be a fighter to keep on your boxing radar. With a stellar amateur career, Joseph Bonas proved his skills, capturing the Ringside Tournament in 2006 and 2009, the Silver Gloves in 2007, and the 2010 Junior Olympics Nationals.
It's no wonder Cameron Dunkin wanted to sign him, always fighting in the streets, at school, Bonas decided to boxing a try. He ended up at one the most well respected gyms in the world, the Kronk Gym in Detroit.
It is here that Joseph Bonas would learn the skills to fight, but not just from just anyone, Joseph Bonas hooked up with trainer, Javan "Sugar" Hill, the nephew of Emanuel Steward.
The Kronk Gym exposed Joseph Bonas to a world not many fighters have a chance to see, Joseph Bonas picked up mass amounts of boxing knowledge in a short amount of time.
Joseph Bonas has been sparring pros since he was fifteen years old, as a sparring partner to Miguel Cotto, and Cornelius "K9" Bundrage. He also attended Wladimir Klitschko's camp twice with Jonathon Banks, gaining experience and soaking up knowledge like a sponge.
With his pro record at 1 win, no losses, the win by knockout, Manager Cameron Dunkin has brought Joseph Bonas to train with Robert Garcia. It allows Joseph Bonas to focus on training, not that Hill was not a good trainer for him, Hill was just busy with his other fighters.
Training away from Detroit allows Bonas to focus on nothing but boxing, he is good company at Garcia's, Mikey Garcia and Brandon Rios just to name a couple.
With a knack for finding raw talent, Cameron Dunkin has a keen eye when it comes to spotting a fighter. Having Cameron Dunkin as a manager will thrust Bonas to greatness if he follows the well laid out plan. Cameron Dunkin is known for giving his fighters every possible resource available to make it in a very competitive sport.
