A look ahead at the Friday night basketball schedule

The Hampden Broncos will be going for their 11th straight win to start the season when they host rival Bangor on Friday evening.

The Rams gave Hampden their closest game of the season when the teams met to open the season.

Freshman Nick Gilpin scored 15 points in his first career varsity game to lead Hampden to the 52-41 victory over Bangor on December 7th.

Hampden (10-0) defeated the next eight opponents by at least 20 points including a 62-37 victory over Lawrence on December 18th.

Bangor (8-3) has a four game winning streak.

Lawrence (9-2) will host Brewer (6-5).

Cony (4-7) @ Brunswick (7-4)- 7 p.m.

Southern Aroostook (7-4) @ Central Aroostook (10-1)- 7 p.m.

Edward Little (10-1) @ Mt. Ararat (5-6) - 7 p.m.

Skowhegan (1-10) @ Mt. Blue (0-11) - 7 p.m.

Erskine (1-9) @ Messalonskee (5-6)- 7 p.m.

Oxford Hills (4-7) @ Lewiston (6-5) - 7 p.m.

In girls basketball action the top seeded Edward Little Red Eddies will host the number two Mount Ararat Eagles at 7 p.m.

Mt. Ararat defeated the Red Eddies 55-52 in the season opener on December 7th.

Washington Academy (4-5) will host Narraguagus (6-5) in a game that will have an impact on the MPA class B and class C heal point standings.

Plenty of heal points will be up for grabs when Houlton (6-4) plays host to Schenck (8-1).

MDI (9-1) will host Ellsworth (7-3) in a rival game between two class B contenders.
