A life full of rich health

Would you rather live a shorter life full of rich health or a longer life full of pain? Perhaps you need more detail to offer feedback.  Let’s say, hypothetically speaking, you can live to 50 years of age while embracing, for the most part, healthy breaths verses living to 80 while suffering much pain?

It is a scenario that plays out often although in real life your death age is not a blatant choice.  You’re actions do support which side of the spectrum from which your answer comes.  Regardless of your age, do you suffer pain because you are afraid of an outcome of a health procedure or of the side affects of medicine that is attainable and can help you feel better?

Yes, there are medicines with serious side affects and you should consider everything that you put into your system.  But, the message here is to realize we are living in 2011 and the medical world has moved forward in leaps and bounds, consider your options and do not let fear cause unnecessary suffering.  Don’t, for example, suffer from a bad gallbladder when this procedure is, for the most part, out patient.

It seems there is an old school way of thinking (at least in my family and I’m sure it flows beyond my circle) that is restrictive.   I call it old school but it really isn’t age specific.  It’s the type of mindset that doesn’t embrace modern day medicine.  It is restrictive thinking that imprisons oneself in pain.

Of course, how you live your life is a personal choice and it really isn’t anyone’s business but it is tough, from the outside, to watch a loved one suffer from pain; pain that might otherwise be manageable through medicine or a medical procedure.

If you feel worthy enough to live your life to your fullest, regardless of the adversity you are facing, you will choose a life full of rich health over long-term suffering.  Yes, most want to live as long as possible but not if pain is overwhelming you day after day.

Embracing medicine, both Western and holistic, can ease suffering.  If is worthwhile to explore relief.  If you need a procedure think of a future full of hope and soothing comfort and allow this to motivate you to move forward instead of imprisoning yourself within the walls of pain.

You deserve a healthy existence that enables your best life!
