Here's what it's all about:
"African-American playwright Shirlene Holmes’ critically-acclaimed love story recounts the courage of African-American women in the late 19th century using folklore and interlocking themes of spirituality and sexuality in the setting of a small southern town to tell the story of two women who find in each other the courage to begin a new life."
There are just two characters in the play--Velina Brown - Miss Flora (SF Mime Troupe), and Dawn L. Troupe - Biddie (AIDA – Willows Theatre).
