A Homecoming for Scott Stapp

It is appropriate that Scott Stapp will be performing at Floyd’s Music Store on Friday, November 5th.  After all, this is FSU Homecoming weekend and Scott and other members of Creed got their start in Tallahassee playing shows at Floyd’s while attending college at FSU.  In a conversation with Scott this week, he mentioned that Creed was signed to their first recording contract while playing at Floyd’s.  Creed last played in Tallahassee in 1997.

When I asked Scott what fans could expect at this show, he replied that the show will be a very intimate performance that will allow the fans to take part.  He shares a great deal of his passion, where he reveals his heart and conviction.  He sees this as a chance to share the stories of his life, faith, joy and loss.  Sharing the human experience.

Scott has faced many challenges since leaving Tallahassee.  From his meteoric rise to fame as lead singer of Creed; to his personal and very public struggles that eventually lead to the band going their separate ways.

Scott now credits his wife and three children with being the strength and inspiration behind his comeback.  He has reunited with Creed and plans to continue to make new music with the band and as a solo artist.

The show will start at 8:00pm and tickets are still available. $20 in advance, $22 the day of the show.  Get your homecoming weekend off to a rocking start and welcome Scott Stapp back to Tallahassee.

Tickets can be purchased through Floyds’s website.
