A healthy new year starts with Wii Fit U

On Jan. 10, the retail version of the new Wii Fit U game will be released in stores across the world. So for those of you who have New Years resolutions to lose weight, Wii Fit U would be a great start. There is no need to pay money to be a member of a gym or even buy a ton of expensive equipment to get healthy. All one needs is the Wii U console and the Wii Fit U Bundle.

This new Wii Fit U game contains many of the top favorite activities from the Wii Fit and the Wii Fit Plus games as well as some new activities to try out like spraying a water hose, bouncing on a giant trampoline and even navigating a luge course. And a quick reminder, this version has many activities to play that requires the GamePad. For example, during the water hose activity, one would move around on the Wii Balance Board while using the Gamepad as the actual water hose mechanism.

Planning on purchasing this bundle? Nintendo will be selling a Wii Fit U bundle that include the Wii Fit U game, a Wii Balance Board accessory and the Wii Fit Meter accessory at a suggested retail price of $89.99. Just a reminder, the Wii Fit Meter is an armband that actually tracks your exercise outside of the house so that you can input the data into the game when getting home. But for those of you who own the Wii Balance Board already from the Wii Fit game, there is an additional bundle that includes just the game and the Wii Fit Meter for only $49.99.

Can't wait to try this game out? If you happen to own the Balance Board already, head on over to the Nintendo eShop and download the full one-month free trial of the game until Jan. 31. If you happen to download this demo, you can keep the full game permanently by purchasing and syncing a Fit Meter, which can be purchased in video game stores now. One could find this meter at Toys R Us, Best Buy, GameStop, and many other stores.
