February is a popular time of year when vacationers make their way to the Sunshine State in an attempt to escape the freezing temperatures of their hometown. During this time of year, temperatures are generally in the low 70’s, but has been known to dip down into the 40’s for a day or two. Be prepared and have a jacket to keep you warm in the early morning and in the evenings.

Just like in January, runners find their way to Disney World in February to take part in the Princess Half Marathon. During this event there are a lot of Princess-themed activities throughout the parks and resorts.

If possible, plan your Disney vacation the first week of the month. This is when crowd levels will be at their lowest. With President’s Day and upcoming spring break vacations, the parks and resorts tend to get busier as the month progresses. So make you plans to visit earlier in the month or try to make your vacation plans during the week. Even though many families are not traveling to visit Disney World, there are many local families and annual passholders who make their way to the parks and resorts on the weekends.

If you are willing to brave the cooler temperatures, February is the month to visit Disney World. During this time there will be shorter lines (and shorter park hours too) and plenty of chances to enjoy your favorite attraction. However, it might be best during this time of year to skip the water attractions. Might be too cold for you.

Keep checking back for a guide to each month of the year.

Happy vacationing!
