A good time is in store at Penitentiary Glen's Fun Day MLK Day event

Experience a day of indoor and outdoor family fun when you attend Penitentiary Glen's free Fun Day event in Kirtland, Ohio on Monday, January 21 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day).

Fun Day Taking place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Nature Center at Penitentiary Glen, Fun Day provides a wide range of activities that all members of the family can enjoy.

Guests will receive X-plorer packs filled with a variety of hands-on activities. Other activities include a scavenger hunt and making a nature craft. And make sure you pay a visit to the campfire where you will be able to roast marshmallows.

The Nature Center's Wildlife Center will be open and guests will be able to visit with Ohio wildlife ambassador animals and learn about these native Ohio creatures. Penitentiary Glen has a multitude of bird feeders so make sure you check out the indoor viewing area where you can relax and view the wildlife at the Windows on Wildlife area.

Penitentiary Glen has more than 7 miles of trails for your hiking pleasure and visitors at Fun Day will be able to enjoy a walk (perhaps along the Peppermint Trail).

Admission is free for all ages. Parking is free. Penitentiary Glen will hold two more Fun Days on February 18 and on April 1.
