A glittery Gel manicure at Beverly Hill’s Yuki Sharoni salon makes my day

By now most of you have read about my Oscar swag events foray during the last week of February and prior to the big, boffo awards day. I’ve been reporting about it here and at my LA Travel Diva Examiner as I come across booty buried under a yet unopened swag pile.

My latest discovery was a gift certificate for services at Yuki Sharoni beauty & lifestyle, a cutting-edge, highly-stylized salon located in Beverly Hills a stone’s throw from Century City. Since I was meeting a friend at Doma in there today I decided to cash in my gift card for a Gel manicure. I’d never been to the shop before, or for that matter hear of it even though it’s been in business for a decade. Yuki is the former owner and hairstylist, although he sold the place he continues to work there.

The two-story building is a delight with whimsical art hung on the walls, modern décor, wooden floors and a warm, friendly staff. They offer the whole nine yards of beauty services from facials to feet, massages and more.

My glittery silver Gel manicure turned out fabulous. It was performed by a lovely Japanese-born woman named Mariko who carefully painted every nail to perfection. When I mentioned about a wedding anniversary coming up she even painted two champagne glasses on my thumb nail. Very artistic.

Yuki Sharoni provides just the right sense of serenity with a hint of liveliness to help you relax during your pampering of choice. I have already made plans to go back and sample more of the menu of services, a massage sounds great about now and so does a facial. My toes desperately need some help, too.
