The family of Meagan Rough has put together The Meagan Rough Memorial Mayday 5K Neon Night Run. Meagan was a Texas Tech student when she was struck by a drunk driver and killed on Glenna Goodacre Boulevard. The run serves to remember her life and to remind everyone of the importance of getting a sober driver.
The run will take place this Friday, May 4th beginning at 8pm. It will start on Glenna Goodacre between Ave S and Ave T and will cover parts of the Texas Tech campus and the Overton area. Registration is $30 for students and $40 for others and includes a t-shirt.
Runners are encouraged to wear bright colors, glowstick necklaces and anything else that dazzles up the night. This is a great new race for Lubbock and a great cause to support.
