A full schedule this week for live local Orlando music (Photos)

The coming week, January 21-27, is crammed full of great shows for fans of local Orlando music.

There are a couple of CD release shows coming up. On Friday, local Orlando band I-Resolution is releasing their self-titled debut at Wills Pub. Saturday night, Orlando band Last Minute Stars is holding a CD release show at the BackBooth for “From Me To You.”

Saturday is Human Trafficking Awareness Day and Florida Abolitionist has an event at Lake Eola Park from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be children’s activities, an exhibit, guest speakers, raffles, food vendors, fair trade vendors, live music and more. Several local Orlando bands will be performing.

Also on Saturday is the first annual Snow Ball at Wall Street Plaza. They say it’s going to snow. There will be live music from local Orlando band the Sh-Booms and guests are asked to come dressed to impress.

Monday, January 21

Live music from Orlando band The Diamond Dolls and Shirobei Ninja. There is a $5 cover charge for this show.

Live music from Orlando bands The Woolly Bushmen, The Golden Pelicans, Jarl Q and his Twin Bros 3 and Pillowfight for this 18+ show. Tickets are $3 and the doors open at 8 p.m.

WPRK’s Local Heroes radio show 5 to 7 p.m. features local talent from actors, directors, photographers, entrepreneurs, and musicians with DJs Daniel Pacchioni and Andrew Maffettone. They play music from local Orlando bands and have local Orlando bands perform live in the studio. This week’s in studio guest is Orlando band A Hero’s Fate.

Soft exposure is a monthly one-of-a-kind open mic. This month is hosted by Naomi Butterfield and Frankie Messina and features the Karouac House Writer in Residence Mike Rands, Sign up is at 6:30 and the show starts at 7 p.m. Artists from poetry, spoken word, book releases, monologues, live painters and acoustic performances are all welcome to participate. Admission is FREE for this all ages event.
