The weather is sunny, dry and hot in El Paso and in many parts of Texas. There are ideas available for these temperatures even this late in the summer season to “beat the heat” in the outdoor landscape visually with blooms and flowers that also can withstand these conditions.

There are areas, which are displaying these blooms of lantanas. This plant life - lantana’s range in wide array of flower colors. The brilliant red are rapid in growth; then there are the golden yellow, in addition to a pale yellow, there is pink as a choice, along with a lavender/purple that remains with a flower a little longer, even when it becomes slightly colder and last a mixed/rainbow color which is also available in the lantana‘s selections.

The fashion style about lantana’s are they do not lose there bloom until they dieback in the winter. They steadily keep a flower and then actively new blooms are created to what is already blossomed.

Some others blooms would be hibiscus plant life that grows seemingly liking some filtered shade.

In addition, one can also inspire the grounds with a show of the traditional scented roses to add to the desert life.

Not forgetting the oleanders, which too will give foliage, and long standing flowers to enjoy, but highly poisonous.

Visit the local garden center today in El Paso for some flowers.
