The deadline for registering for the 8th Annual Women Writers’ Winter Retreat is only a couple days away – February 14. The event will take place February 28 through March 2 in historic downtown Willoughby and will include a blend of roundtables, presentations, open mic and free time for resting and writing. Key presenters will include Maria Doria Russell, award winning author of Doc, Dreamers of the Day, A Thread of Grace, Children of God, and The Sparrow; Amanda Flowers, whose mystery Maid of Murder was an Agatha Award Nominee for Best First Novel; Casey Daniels, author of the Pepper Martin mystery series; and Deanna R. Adams, freelance writer, essayist, writing instructor and speaker. Topics covered by these prestigious presenters will include having fun with research, using tarot cards for plotting, perfecting your first pages and more.
