“Miss Cheyenne” opened with native drummers pounding on a drum as Walt strides into the county jail where Henry Standing Bear is held. Henry was supposed to be a judge for the “Miss Cheyenne” Indian pageant. Walt replaces him & goes to the reservation.
Vic shows up at the pageant & tells Walt that a dead body was found. They go into a barn & find a man named Ben Mallory. He was stabbed to death who turns out to be a doctor. Cady visits Henry in jail & tells him that all she has to do is show the judge that he is model citizen. She wants to prove he isn't a flight risk in this murder case.
Branch goes out to the isolated "Indian Health Service" (IHS) clinic on the reservation. It is where Walt brought Branch after he was shot. The male nurse tells Branch that there was a native male who argued with doctor Mallory. He also tells Branch that David Ridges was at the clinic a month before to give blood. Branch asks the nurse to call him if David visits again. David supposedly committed suicide who Branch claims he had seen at the burial site before he was shot.
The bail hearing begins for Henry & Cady sees a guy who recognizes her in the court room. He smiles at her when their eyes meet. The judge says that Henry is up on a murder charge & if convicted he faces the death penalty. A native father named Dale Graywolf, tells Vic & Walt that doctor Ben Mallory touched his daughter at the clinic. That's why he was arguing with Ben. Dale also tells them that the situation had been dealt with.
Cady meets the man she saw in court & they're old friends from law school. She asks for his advice in the bail hearing. He tells her to present a case where people will defend Henry as a model citizen. She decides to call a witness. Walt wants to talk to the daughter of Dale Graywolf. She is a contestant for the “Miss Cheyenne” Indian pageant. He decides to talk to her while he judges the pageant.
Ben Mallory's brother was also murdered. Is there a serial killer on the loose? Did the doctor molest the native daughter? Which witness testifies for Henry Standing Bear? Is Branch spiritually haunted? You can watch the full episode of “Miss Cheyenne” at the official website of “Hulu.”
