“Miss Cheyenne” preview opens with Walt & Vic investigating the death of a 32 year old male who was stabbed twice. He is lying dead inside a barn.
An angry native father tells Walt that a man abused his daughter & called him a pervert. Walt is attacked from behind by an unknown native male outside the “Red Pony” bar which Henry Standing Bear owns. Walt & his deputies are working that bar while Henry sits in jail. A man then tells Walt & Vic that the situation has been dealt with.
Cady is now defending Henry who has been charged with the murder of a meth addict who killed Walt's wife in Denver. Henry is sitting in the courtroom all bruised & beaten up. He was attacked by other natives in the tri-county jail, which is run by a gang leader named Malachi. He controls the other native prisoners & the native guards too.
Cady asks a question of tribal officer Mathias who sits on the witness stand. That question is if Henry is released on bail, will he flee? A petty & bitter Mathias, suggests that if you can't trust the company the man keeps. You can't trust the man himself.
Walt sits in the courtroom listening to all of this as the judge pounds his gavel on the bench. He decides not to accept bail for Henry because this is a murder charge. Henry might be a flight risk.
