It was a hot and humid day with showers and severe thunderstorms by the evening commute as well; the high at Philly International Airport was 86 and as of the 5pm climate report just less than 0.50" of rain had fallen.
Overnight showers and thunderstorms will push to the east and we'll have clearing by morning with lows in the middle 60s. Saturday high pressure moves in and we'll have a northwesterly wind between 10-15mph. Highs will be in the lower 80s with very low humidity; overnight Saturday it will clear and cool with lows in the lower 50s! There may even be some upper 40s in elevations north and west! Sunday highs will be in the middle 80s with sunshine, but then on Monday we'll get more of a southerly wind so the humidity creeps up with highs in the upper 80s.
May we finally reach 90 for the first time this year? It's possible on Tuesday with lots of heat and humidity with highs in the lower 90s! Come Wednesday we'll be a couple of degrees warmer with showers and strong thunderstorms possible in the afternoon.
