A double shot of Dave Rawlings in Hollywood

If you find yourself stuck in late-afternoon Hollywood-area traffic next Thursday, February 4th, look around- you might see the Dave Rawlings Machine navigating the same treacherous terrain.

In support of his first solo release, A Friend of a Friend, the neoteric Dave Rawlings Machine has scheduled two performances in the Hollywood area on the same day- a true double-shot contemporary roots bliss.

You might know Dave Rawlings music, or at the very least, you might wonder where you’ve heard his name before. In reality, he is everywhere. Rawlings has procured guitar and harmony credits on dozens of Americana, Folk, and Roots recordings over the past two decades.

Most notably, Dave is a long-time collaborator of the mistress of roots, Gillian Welch (who happens to reverse stage roles on this tour, joining Dave and the ‘Machine’ on the 15-gig west coast tour.)

His first full-length release, A Friend of a Friend has already been met with favorable reviews and a small-venue tour is primed for comparable acclaim.

Check out Dave’s understated flat-picking guitar prowess and enjoy a new set of music- twice in one day.
Attendance at the Amoeba ‘in-store’ show is free. Arrive early to catch a good spot.
