Any fan of Bioware title’s can attest to the importance of NPC companions within their various franchises such as Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Hoping to introduce players to the new companion characters of Dragon Age: Inquisition before it releases later this fall, the developer announced on March 21 that they will begin fully detailing a different NPC follower each month starting next week with Vivienne.

Bioware previously showed off an in-depth look at Vivienne’s character model as well as shared her penchant for the fashions of Orlais, where Dragon Age: Inquisition will be set. However, it appears that the developer now plans to fill in more details on the new companion such as her back story and more. A new screenshot of Vivienne was also revealed on Friday which made the general manager of Bioware’s Edmonton and Montreal studios Aaryn Flynn to comment out of the disbelief that the image was directly from the game itself.

Even I'm amazed this is in-game.

Dragon Age: Inquisition releases the fall on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Varric and Cassandra, who fans will remember from Dragon Age II, have also been announced as full companion characters within the series’ upcoming third installment.
