Now days, every person you meet is a rapper. Their best friend is a producer. They know somebody, who knows somebody who is the sickest mc ever. So how does a person know who really has talent? Especially in a city where there is a show every night, how can a person determine which one will be worth their door money? An easy answer lies within any lineup containing A.Dd+ in the mix. Having just played their last Dallas show before embarking on a multi state tour, Paris and Slim Gravy are leaving a lasting impression with every performance they give.
With the help of DJ Sober, their manager Rosalinda, and their producer Picnictyme, their latest project When Pigs Fly has seen tremendous success. They have come a long way since their first recording over a Dr. Dre instrumental. They have established a style and name that is sure to be the influence of many more artists to come. Every show is high energy and the crowd takes notice. People are guaranteed to have a good time when they grab the mics. With hopes of working with a unique list of people from Bun B to Adam Sandler, their varied sound is sure to be heard across genre barriers.
Their recent Red Bull tour allowed old school to meet new school and a new level of exposure. However, these two are some of the most down to earth people as it gets. Originally from Memphis, Paris moved here at age thirteen, and Slim was the first person he met at school. He later found out that they lived in the same apartments, and they have been cool ever since. The chemistry the duo has is evident with every track, sure to be present on iPods nationwide in the very near future. When asked what they thought of the city’s Hip Hop scene, the two had this to say, “With all the talent that is emerging now, it is only a matter of time before people realize that Dallas is way, way more to hip hop than what they see commercially.” The beautiful thing is, these two are paving the way for that to happen.
