Looking for an opportunity to make an impact on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's National Holiday? There are several organizations that have provide several opportunities for people to go out and perform great works to help others.

All For Good is a hub for volunteerism and community service on the Internet, and a service of Points of Light. The website provides a meeting place for organizations and individuals, providing a communal platform that allows people to see where change is needed, and makes it easy for them to engage.

Hands On Atlanta will mobilize more than 3,000 volunteers in service to local communities, schools and nonprofits on the Martin Luther King. Jr. Day of Service, presented by Delta Air Lines. Projects will primarily support two community needs: poverty alleviation and beautification of Civil Rights historic sites and neighborhoods, as well as sites dedicated to Civil Rights leaders.

Hands on Greater Richmond offers programs on MLK Day that meet tangible needs, but also build a sense of community and mutual responsibility by spurring conversation. On this day, Americans of every age and background celebrate Dr. King through volunteering and unite to strengthen communities, empower individuals, and bridge barriers.
