A Dangerous Method, based on the non-fiction book by John Kerr, premiered in London Tuesday. The gala event was held at The Mayfair Hotel in that city.
The movie stars Keira Knightley, Viggo Mortensen, Michael Fassbender, and Vincent Cassel and is directed by David Cronenberg. It is a story about a disturbed Russian woman, played by Knightley, who causes a rift between two giants in the field of psychology -- Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud.
According to The Telegraph, actor Keira Knightley commented at the UK premiere about the audience response to the sado/masochism exhibited in the film. She said that Italian and Canadian audiences had not mentioned it very much, whereas moviegoers in the UK have spoken about it a lot.
The film had a limited release in the United States late last year.
