Timilee Waverek is part of the Baby Boom generation that decided to retire to Costa Rica after a twenty seven year career in law enforcement. She selected Costa Rica for its safety, great weather, friendly people and its lack of a militarized police force.
She found the community that fits her needs at the Ailanto Mountain Retreat, a master planned 83 acre gated community bordering the Miravalles Volcano with warm thermal pools, fresh climate, and onsite self directed hiking trails. There are several villages within the community to appeal to all price rages. Unlike other developments in Costa Rica that are merely renderings and dreams, Ailanto is actual and includes several warm thermal pools that bubble up through the rainforest floor after being deep in the earth for over 10,000 years. Its possible to soak in these thermal pools and observe congo and carablanca monkeys in thier natural habitat.
Behind the handcrafted stone wall and gatesof Ailanto Mountain Preserve, the newest hotel in Guayabo is under construction that includes a restaurant and more pools. Midway inside the expansive property, you find the custom cabin of Timilee complete with hand made Dutch door and custom woodwork by local Tico craftsman Mario Alfaro. Timilee is spending her time directing the finishing touched on her custom Cabina.
Timilee is no sedimentary retiree. She is a very active and vivacious woman that finds it easier to commit to a healthy lifestyle in Costa Rica than California. She is working on a second Masters Degree and is also a licensed realtor in California and certified realtor in Costa Rica. In other words, Timi did extensive research before making a decision to spend her hard earned cash in Costa Rica. Timilee is able to take some courses while in Costa Rica
She enjoys Ailanto's emphasis on health and wellness by participating in the community Yoga classes. Ailanto built a Treehouse specifically for Yoga. “I enjoy the emphasis on the environment and the developers use of solar energy for my cabin” states Timi. “It shows that we can live carbon neutral” Her plans for her new community include participating in local humanitarian efforts, assisting in education for young children and working on collaborative relationships with the local population. AilantoMountain Retreat is affordable and convienient. It's only 40 minutes from the Liberia International Airport. Jion Timilee in a dream retirement location.
