A cool place to stay near Marfa, Texas

I want to stay there! The 1953 Vagabond has a queen bed and cedar deck. P: El

El Cosmico is a 14.5-hour drive from Los Angeles.

The Marfa, Texas retreat is simply trailers, yurts and tents, offering an uncomplicated and stunning vacation to those who dare to drive far out into the desert. If you’re up for adventure pass through Phoenix, Las Cruces and El Paso on your drive and when you feel like you’re not going anywhere anymore (west Texas highway, defined) arrive in the dusty Texas town of Marfa. Now you’re away from L.A. Embrace the “out there,” book a restored vintage trailer (starting at $90 per night) and spend days checking out the rad western town, or Big Bend National Park, followed by a lean-back into one of El Cosmico’s wood fired Dutch hot tubs (seasonal). El Cosmico is set on 18 acres and opened last fall.

"El Cosmico is part vintage trailer, yurt and teepee hotel and campground, part creative lab, greenhouse and amphitheatre - a community space that fosters and agitates artistic and intellectual exchange." - from
