A cool, cloudy week for the Clarksville area

A trough remains over the eastern United States bringing cooler air into the Clarksville area. There is also some left over moisture from a system over the northeast and that will bring isolated rain and snow showers to the region. The cool temperatures are expected to last through the rest of the workweek and into the upcoming weekend. On Saturday, a reinforcing shot of cooler air will make its way into the region bringing scattered snow showers to the region. Temperatures for the weekend will be in the thirties and a dusting of snow is possible as this system moves through. Looking to the end of the weekend and into next workweek, cooler temperatures are expected to continue to plague the eastern United States as the trough remains in place.

Thursday night: Cloudy with isolated rain and snow showers. Chance of precipitation 30%. Low: 31

Friday: Mostly cloudy with isolated rain and snow showers Chance of precipitation 30%. High: Lower 40s Low: Upper 20s

Saturday: Isolated snow showers, mixing with rain at times. Chance of precipitation 50%. High: Upper 30s Low: Middle 20s
