A CONCISE WAY FOR ALL TO COME TOGETHER: RESTORE THE REPUBLIC
Is there any fundamental concept or principle on which Americans of all stripes can agree, that would reset this country on the founding ideas of both freedom and rightness? We are living in a time when politicians have pitted one group against another to build coalitions for votes. Very few politicians in any party seems to care much about these divisions or the fact that all three branches may not be recognized by a single founding father if they were brought back alive today. I say the Answer is in the Declaration of Independence. In spite of Mark Levin’s great ideas in the “Liberty Amendments” which I think should be explored for the exact reasons that he mentions. Namely that it is a constitutional process by which the people can push the agenda instead of waiting on ingrained representatives, who have it made in the shade, win or lose. They have seen to it that they and their kind will be taken care of. Yet it is just conceivable, in a lesser manner, that the people themselves could get far away from the original Constitution’s intent. Not so easily if we implement this declaration concept in a way all can understand and see the benefits. What is it? Here it is.
The formula that would have solved a many problems and never allowed many of the conflicts now or even in the past is that all our rights come from “Nature’s God.”
That’s it! Now understand what the founders knew. They were not very removed from tyranny from any State source, Secular or religious. They realized that men were flawed no matter what station they held in this world and should not be making the rules on all things. The only intelligence that could put this outside the realm of man was God. Would they argue about names? No. Nature’s God. Nature would reflect his natural laws and guess what if you were not a believer, nature would also reflect science. Here it is again “Nature’s God” laws = what nature shows = what science indicates. Another way to put this is that rights agrees with, Revelation = Nature = Science
If this formula had been adhered to, there would never have been: (1) a civil war with the idea that some people were more human than others. (2) Women would have voted a lot earlier on. (3) No Jim Crow laws. (4) No Abortion forced down from the courts. It would have been outside of their purview, unless someone proved that a baby was not human scientifically. (5) Neither could you try to set up a purely secular society, which is setting up a religion anyway. (6) Therefore, there would be no atheist Christian fights in court. (7) There would be no same sex marriage, since this is not indicated in revelation, nature or science. If you wanted them to be free to do so, you would just take government out of the whole matter, except for keeping records for legal reasons. It could not sanction this or anything that did not fit the formula at all.
Think about how this promotes peace between different groups. Think about what this could do for all Americans not just conservatives. But conservatives need not look like only religious zealots without any Constitutional basis just because of the Bible or religion. Nature and true science always agree with revelation. It never has to be brought up unless you want to. Nor could someone accuse you effectively of hating same sex couples for instance. It does not fit the formula and any time something does not fit the formula, it will cause conflicts and even remove freedoms from someone else in the name of giving freedoms to another group. Make homosexuality a constitutional right and force Christians not to preach about it: Not to fire ministers not living like the Bible says. Punishing flower shops for not participating in those marriages. Fines could be levied or even putting people out of business for not bruising their conscious.
Think about the conflicts that politicians have picked between groups because of just the matters mentioned above. the founders were brilliant people. Now this is what we need to promote within or without any types of convention for bringing forth amendments. Because the liberty amendment process could be long, we need to push also for a congress that is willing to make the courts live up to the expressed intent of the fathers by limiting their jurisdiction to that formula. That could put a stop to a run away system all by itself. What is a court doing going outside that formula anyway?
One thing all Chief Justices have recognized is that Article III of the constitution gives original jurisdiction to the Supreme Court: it also gives Congress the power to define and limit the appellate jurisdiction of all federal courts, including the Supreme Court.
Article III, Section 2 clearly states: "The Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as the Congress shall make." Let’s make all parts of government stick to the Constitutional formula declared in the declaration.
