A climate of hypocrisy at Copenhagen

What will green cost us?  Plenty!  Prime Minister Harper's hesitation to attend the Climate change summit in Copenhagen may have been for good reason.

One reason was to see if U.S. President Obama would blink first.  The President did and Harper is attending the Copenhagen climate meeting.

Many know this summit will rob the rich to prop up the poor in developing countries. Developing countries who are already in hock to us for billions of dollars and no way to pay us back. Will our green money in aid just be a moneypit?  Judging by past aid, it seems a never ending moneypit.

Will this solve or reduce greenhouse gases in these countries?  Perhaps yes and no, it is all dependent what these countries do with the money we give them.

It had been foretold that thousands if not millions of Green jobs from all this Green technology will be had for all. If so for whom and when, as it provides little comfort for those laid off from their non green jobs.

No one seems clear on who is going to develop and pay for these massive green jobs, there was talk of private enterprise with individuals being the pioneers in starting these green businesses, of course one has to have money and lots of it to start this business and consumers with money and jobs to pay for it. Bankruptcies at an all time high, will these new startups be able rely on a reluctant bank to finance these ventures or the government or should I say the taxpayer?

All countries are looking to the west for this green initiative, though it is feared the only green these leaders in Copenhagen seem interested in is our green in paper from the sinful consuming taxpayers.

It will be interesting to see what comes out of this climate change summit. One can be sure, both Prime Minister Harper and President Obama will be bruised and battered by those who point fingers at the decadent west, a  decadence most developing countries desire when they make a run for the border, our border.

In a world of have and have nots, it seems many will not be satisfied that North America becomes a nation of have nots and is bled dry.  North America should take care of its own environment and let the rest of the world pay and take care of their own. That would be a good global neighbour policy.

The way the economy is going in North America, perhaps it will be only a matter of time we become have nots. When that happens, we can go to those haves that have benefited so generously from our billions of dollars in aid over the past decades and ask for a handout.

Somehow when that time comes, nobody will be home to answer the door.

$10 Billion Dollars per Year For a Fraud?
Canadians are interested in results of what is going on about Climategate in Canada! As it has to do with our lives, lifestyle whether or not we are going to be living in a Democracy or under a Dictatorship? Jim prentice has stated & PM Harper advocates this as well otherwise Prentice wouldn't be uttering it"Canada will be paying it's fair share of Carbon Emmissions! To the tune of $10 Billion per year!" Really, we are already $70 Billion in debt thanks to Michael Ignatieff & the Liberals who up'ed the anti to the Canadian debt load on stimulus!
This begs the question where Jim Prentice plans to dig the $10 Billion per year out of? Did somebody say more Tax? A Fool and his money are soon parted"! To request that PM Harper doesn't sign the Copenhagen Treaty, causing Canadians to lose their Sovereignty email the PM at: pm@pm.gc.ca, Environment Minister: PrentJ@parl.gc.ca

It's sad day indeed, when the citizens of the Western developed, Democratic Nations of the globe, are RULED, by their servants.

In any court in the Western world, the revelation of evidence, such as has surfaced out of the CRU of the East Anglia University in the UK, would cause to have all parties ordered to enter chambers and grounds for dismissal motioned. Yet even the President of the US, is blatantly and arrogantly, prepared to ignore due process, and perpetuate CO2 mythology, whilst blatantly and arrogantly, disregarding the very basic foundations and premise, of due process.

This absolute and total ignoring of the sub-atomic adhesive for the societal fabric of the developed world, may well be the catalyst that is recorded in history, as that which brought about our era's demise.

How did James Carvell, former Clinton adviser put it? It's the economy stupid.

You have to shake your head when the rest of the world is addicted to oil and the demand will increase, let's point the fingers at those that provide it and punish them.

At $80 a barrel the oil sands produced oil just about breaks even with all the new environmental measures in place. Carbon equeststration technology will be in place soon adding another cost to production. Add a carbon tax to that and lo and behold the prices at the pump will be raised.

This will affect every aspect of the economy. I suggest we start digging our caves and go back to being neanderthals.
