To be a Christian is not just a verbal affirmation but a daily life passion. There are so many so-called “Christians” in this world that wear the Cross around their necks, and attend God’s House on Sunday mornings, but completely miss the mark. Being Christian, a humble follower of Christ, is more than just a once-a-week visit to a building may or may not mean much to that person.
Mankind has become so lost in almost every aspect of life. They have forgotten God and our Lord and Savior. They do not invite God into their everyday routines. “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).” God has already showed us how much He loves us. How have you showed Him how much you love God? Think about this.
What have you done to make God proud of you? Do you talk to Him daily? Do you pray to Jesus and thank Him for all he does for you? The Blessings from our Lord and Savior did not end at His Resurrection but continue to shower us each and every moment of our lives.
Just by waking up each morning and taking that first breath of wakefulness is a blessing from God. Being able to go through your day without being killed is another blessing. People completely forget the things God does for us. Or perhaps people do not realize it.
Do you truly believe that Jesus saved us only from dying for the forgiveness of sins? Absolutely, but however, Jesus continues to protect and nurture even today. That close call you had on the highway when you almost got into a collision, which would have resulted in a serious injury. Or what about a time you broke a limb or lost consciousness for even a few minutes. Those “almost” happenings or “sudden” recoveries are just a few ways that Jesus continues to save us.
We are saved so much and protected by so many demons that want to harm us. How many times have you talked to Jesus today? How many times have you thanked Him for His mercy and blessings?
Wake up from your slothfulness and stand up strong in His name. do more than just wear that Cross and attend church. Live the Christian life. Be humble and dress modestly. Have humility towards Christ just as He had for all of us.
“We love because he first loved us (1 John 4:19).” So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him (1 John 4:16).”
