A cool, sunny day is expected for the Clarksville area today as arctic high pressure briefly settles in over the area. The clouds will start to move in tonight and through the day tomorrow as the next weather maker makes its way into the region. Scattered showers and the risk for a thunderstorm will develop tomorrow afternoon and last through much of the night as this system passes through. The cold air will take a little bit of time to make it into the region, thus temperatures on Friday will be above average, in the upper fifties under partly sunny skies.
