The Spring Equinox takes place this year on Wed March the 20th at 7:02 AM EDT. That means, of course, the direct rays of the Sun fall on the Equator at that time…then continue North until they hit 23.5 degrees N Latitude when Summer begins in the Northern Hemisphere in June. Unfortunately, the weather here in MD will not be very Spring-Like as we move into the new season! An upper level trof will set up shop over the East Coast, and this will likely keep the temps below average all the way through the end of March. This St. Patrick’s Day Weekend here in Baltimore, will include some rain and High temps only in the 40s! The average High Temps should be in the Low to Mid 50s this time of the year. The chilly weather pattern should flip by the start of April.
