Thanks to the kindness of the St. Pius X church parishioners, a check for $10,343 was sent to the Haitian Ministries.

The compassion shown by the parishioners to help those in need though their generosity certainly was overwhelming! This was accomplished by the commitment of the parish to continue living up to their parish mission statement “Love one another, as I have loved you.” (John 13:34) as well as past events like The Advent Giving Tree.

At St. Pius's Coffee and Donut Sunday February 21st Haiti's Back Porch will have unique arts and crafts for sale after all masses!

Also on Saturday March 6th at 12:30 pm a rosary to pray for the Haitian people will be in the church. At 1 pm a light luncheon in the Bill Fortin Memorial Hall will be provided by the Imperial Caribbean Restaurant followed by a Norwich Diocese speaker.

All family and friends are invited! Free will donations will be accepted and Haitian crafts will be available. All proceeds are for the Norwich Diocese’s Haitian Ministry.

For updates on these and future events please visit St. Pius X's Haitian webpage.

Last weekend was also St. Pius's family fun night!
