If you're a Harry Potter fan, you'll want to get your tickets to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for January 24th through the 26th. Those are the dates for "A Celebration of Harry Potter," a special event packed with celebrity appearances, panel discussions, interactive exhibitions and more. You can even officially find out your house from the Sorting Hat or attend a wand masterclass given by Wand Combat Choreographer Paul Harris and a special guest.
All the fun is included with your regular admission ticket, but you'll want to arrive as early as possible each day, as this event is sure to draw a huge crowd. The scheduled celebrity appearances include Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), James Phelps (Fred Weasley) and Oliver Phelps (George Weasley).
Here are some highlights of this very special celebration that you won't want to miss:
A special kick-off Friday night at 7:30 p.m. on the Music Plaza Stage, with film clips, Q&A sessions, and more. You'll also learn more details about Diagon Alley, which opens later this year.
A "My Life on the Harry Potter Film Set" celebrity session on Saturday at noon and 2 p.m. and Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the Toon Lagoon Amphitheater.
Wand combat classes on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in the Toon Lagoon Amphitheater.
"Graphic Design for the Harry Potter Films" presentation on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in the Toon Lagoon Amphitheater.
Set and prop presentation at 10 a.m. on Sunday in the Toon Lagoon Amphitheater.
Behind the scenes look at the Pottermore website on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Toon Lagoon Amphitheater.
You'll also want to hit the Expo in Soundstage 33, which will feature costumes, the Sorting Hat Experience, a the limited edition stamp collection from the United States Postal Service. The Expo is open from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
