A brief look at the Stargate Project

No we are not talking about the hit TV show nor the movie with Kurt Russell. Stargate was a real thing and it was a look at the government using from what people call a more paranormal approach to espionage. It's a very interesting piece of Modern History.

Before you get too far, read my review here. The review is about a documentary that talks in-depth about Stargate. Watch the documentary after you read the review and the brief look at Stargate here. You'll want to get all the facts about this strange but true government program.

Let's now explore this topic:

  • From 1972 to 1995 the federal government spent $20 million dollars investigating psi phenomena.
  • It was ran by the CIA, the U.S. Army, and other government entities.
  • Basically their mission was to develop the human mind to reach out, locate, and describe remote targets.
  • Subjects were roughly around 22-plus military personnel and even civilian psychics.
  • The remote viewing research began in 1972. It was made because of the U.S. government believed that the Soviets were also using "psychic spies." They weren't too wrong either about it either according some more reports.
  • The research began at the Standford Research Institute in Menlo Park, California.
  • The CIA in 1995 declassified the top secret program in 1995.
  • Russell Targ, Hal Putoff, and Ingo Swann were the original founders of the whole Stargate Program.
  • There have been accomplishments that Stargate did, the subjects have identified and described landscapes and buildings, they detected nuclear material, and by using remote viewing they even could explored building interiors.
  • A variety of code names were used while conducting Stargate, some of those codes names were, SUN STREAK, GRILL FLAME, and CENTER LANE.

So that's just a brief view of what the Stargate Project was all about and why it was created. It's just another one of those strange but true government experiments.
